We are also very experienced tutors of Functional Skills Maths and English, for both Level 1 and Level 2. This includes 6 months’ experience teaching Functional Skills levels 1 and level 2, in both Maths and English in a company in Devizes, Wiltshire (WTTL), to apprentice drivers. There were typically around 4 or 5 students in each class. Our role involved teaching the topics on the Level 1 and Level 2 syllabus on a whiteboard, and then following this up with asking the student to attempt practice exam paper questions for both these levels. We would then go around the class, providing tuition support to students, on how to tackle these practice questions. We had a very high success rate during these 6 months, of students passing their Level 1 or Level 2 Maths and English exams.
We are also experienced teaching Functional Skills Maths and English tuition on a 1 to 1 basis in home tuition. Again in this format, we teach the topic skills required to tackle practice exam questions, and then help the students by giving them strategies how to best tackle these practice exam questions.
Over the past 24 years, we have taught Functional Skills for both the Aqa exam board, as well as City and Guilds.
