I am a qualified Mathematics Secondary School teacher (with full QTS status). I have been teaching Mathematics in total for 25 years in secondary schools, of which the last twelve years have been in England.

I have also worked as a private tutor at various levels, including GCSE and Key Stage 3, and more recently 11+ Maths in preparation for selective schools (as well as Non-Verbal Reasoning tuition). I also now have experience teaching C1 and S1 at A level in schools.

I have great experience with all levels of students, from those who have Learning Disabilities or find Maths challenging, to those students who are gifted and talented at Maths.

I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential in Mathematics. To support my pursuit on improving provision for those who are mathematically gifted, I recently completed an MA in Gifted Education at Brunel University, where I studied part-time.

I also have 16 years’ experience in being a Mathematics examiner; 5 of which I was a Team Leader.

In addition , I have achieved some outstanding results both in my schoolwork and in private tuition. At school, I helped improve the pass rate of a GCSE Maths class in 2012, from 45% when I joined, to about 70% in just a year. I have also achieved similar success in home tuition, where I have regularly improved students’ grades at GCSE level by 1 or 2 grades in just a few months’ tuition.
